Regarding research competence of forensic expert

The large-scale Russian invasion threatens the quality of the education of forensic experts and the involvement of the most competent and dedicated personnel in expert work, who must have not only a high level of knowledge, but the skills and abilities of a forensic expert, be able to work professionally, constantly looking for new ways of self-development. The purpose of this article is to analyze the concept meaning «research competence», identify problematic issues regarding formation of the research competence of forensic experts, determine ways to overcome them, to outline the system elements of the research competence of forensic expert. General scientific and special scientific methods were used to achieve the goal. Importance of integration with European educational standards and the implementation of international experience of the best world practices in the use of educational technologies and programs that will contribute to increasing the level of professional training of Ukrainian forensic experts is emphasized. It is noted that experts well versed in forensics and law, who quickly and qualitatively analyze incoming information, are able to apply the most effective methods to perform the expert tasks assigned to them. Therefore, high level of education and training of forensic experts is important for ensuring effectiveness of forensic expert activity in Ukraine.
