Copyright and Licensing

Copyright consists of personal non-property rights of the author and property rights of copyright subjects. Primary subject of copyright is the author of publication. Subjects of property copyright can be other natural or legal persons to whom property rights to the publication have been transferred on the basis of a deed or law.

If the author/authors submit an article to Research Paper Collection: Theory and Practice of Forensic Science and Criminalistics, he/they certify that:

  • He/they do not infringe copyrights of other persons or institutions;
  • proposed content has not been previously published by other publishers and has not been submitted to other journals.
  • publication is approved by all authors and relevant bodies of institutions where the work was performed.
  • authorized by the co-authors to act on their behalf in relation to the manuscript and in correspondence with editors.

Accordingly, the author/authors transfer to the editorial board the rights to: publication of the article in Ukrainian and English and distribution of its printed version and electronic version (placement on official website of the publication, in electronic databases, repositories, etc.).

The Editorial board supports and recommends CRediT – Contributor Roles Taxonomy (https://credit.niso.org/) that is definition of co-authors' participation in writing manuscripts, and recommends them to our authors.

Licensing conditions: the authors retain copyright, as well as grant the right to the editorial board of the Collection to publish original research papers containing the results of experimental and theoretical research and are not under consideration for publication in other journals. All content is distributed under the terms of the  Creative Commons Attribution License International CC-BY 4.0, that allows others to distribute the publication with recognition of authorship of this paper and the first publication in this collection.

According to the license, the author/authors have the right to:

Share Information, namely: copy and distribute content in any medium or format for any purpose, even commercial.

Adapt means remix, transform and create new content for any purpose, even commercial.

Licensor may not revoke these freedoms if  author/authors comply with the terms of the license under the following conditions:

 Reference to the original source of the publication. Author/Authors should indicate proper authorship, provide a link to the license and indicate whether changes have been made. The author/authors can do this in any reasonable way, but not in a way that implies that licensor is supporting you.

 No additional restrictions. Author/Authors are not allowed to apply legal conditions or technological measures that legally restrict others from doing everything that the license allows.
