In today’s world, where globalization and information technology are integral components and prerequisites of daily life, the issue of improving criminal procedural legislation and forensic activities takes on particular significance. On the path to joining the European Union, our country must, in particular, incorporate European standards of justice into the Ukrainian criminal justice system and adapt international experience to domestic realities (especially in the realm of criminal procedural law and forensic activities). The effectiveness of criminal investigations and the administration of justice directly depend on the objectivity of forensic examinations, the speed with which they are conducted, and the scientific rigor of expert conclusions. In Ukraine, there is a need to improve the mechanisms governing this activity, taking into account best practices from other countries. The experience of international organizations and countries with well-developed criminal justice systems serves as an important source for reforming national legislation and enhancing the professional petence of experts.
