Methodical Approaches to Determining Harm and Losses from Damage to the Road Infrastructure of Ukraine as a Result of the Russian Federation’s Armed Aggression

It has been established that, currently, there are no specialized methods that would contain a clear algorithm for performing studies to determine the extent of harm and losses from damage to the road infrastructure of our country as a consequence of the Russian Federation’s armed aggression in forensic expert practice of forensic construction-engineering and road technical examination studies in Ukraine. It has been established that if such research is necessary, a forensic expert is forced to adapt the previously developed research methodologies to the present realities. Currently, it is proven that there is an urgent need to develop methodologies and improve existing approaches to establishing the scope and amount of harm and losses inflicted, considering the destruction of Ukraine’s road infrastructure due to active hostilities against our country. The Article Purpose is to determine the essence, content, general methodical approaches to establishing the extent of damage and losses from damage to the road infrastructure of Ukraine as a result of the Russian Federation’s Armed Aggression. To fulfill this goal, such general methods of scientific knowledge as observation, comparison, abstraction, analysis, synthesis, modeling, etc., as well as separate (instrumental) and special methods of forensic examination (methodologies of forensic research perform the functions of the latter) have been applied.
